About PeekTag

PeekTag turns any object into a living, interactive experience. A restaurant menu becomes an AI waiter. A clothing tag becomes a virtual try-on. A product becomes a conversation.

We're a small team in Copenhagen building the interaction layer between the physical world and the people in it. And we're looking for a frontend engineer to help bring these experiences to life.

About the Role

You'll build the interfaces where objects come alive: the experiences customers actually touch, tap, and talk to. These aren't ordinary forms and pages. They're rich, novel, interactive moments that have to feel effortless and alive.

But here's how we see this role: the craft of writing code line by line matters less every day. What matters now is taste, judgment, and the ability to direct AI tools to build exactly what you envision. You won't just write code; you'll pilot it.

You're the kind of engineer who sits next to Claude Code or Codex, knows exactly what good looks like, and can take a rough idea to a polished, production-ready interface fast.

What You'll Do

  • Build rich, innovative frontend experiences that make interactions feel alive.
  • Work in our stack: Svelte, Tailwind, and a shared component library.
  • Pilot AI coding tools like Claude Code or Codex to build and ship faster than a full team could.
  • Refactor and improve existing code based on solid design patterns and principles.
  • Write and run tests to keep quality high while moving fast.
  • Manage your work with proper version control and clean Git practices.
  • Deploy and maintain features. We run on Azure; familiarity with the concepts is enough.
  • Translate rough ideas and designs into production-ready interfaces.

What We're Looking For

  • Strong with Svelte and Tailwind.
  • A feel for minimal, clean design. You know when an interface is right.
  • Fluent with AI coding tools like Claude Code or Codex Pro. This is essential.
  • Can refactor thoughtfully, following established patterns and principles.
  • Comfortable with source control and clean Git workflows.
  • Familiar with deployment concepts. Azure is a plus, but the mindset matters more.
  • Can write and run tests to keep things reliable.
  • Most importantly: can build a rich, innovative, feature-complete frontend, not just functional, but delightful.
  • A sense for UX. You understand how users move through an interface and can spot friction before they do.

How We Think About This Role

We believe the skill of typing out code is no longer the core skill. The new core skills are taste, direction, and the ability to orchestrate AI tools to produce great work.

We're not looking for someone who memorizes syntax. We're looking for someone who knows what a great experience feels like, can describe it precisely, and can pilot the tools that build it while keeping a high bar for quality and craft.

If you've already shifted the way you work, if you spend more time directing than typing, you'll feel right at home.

Compensation

Revenue share. Your upside grows with what you build. As PeekTag grows, so does your stake in it. No salary cap, no ceiling.

Bonus Points If You

  • Have built interactive or animated interfaces before.
  • Care deeply about performance and detail.
  • Have an eye for motion and micro-interactions.
  • Get genuinely excited about making objects feel alive.

Why Join Now

We're early. You won't slot into a machine; you'll help build one. You'll shape the entire frontend of PeekTag, define how our experiences feel, and own real outcomes from day one.

If you can imagine an interface that feels alive and pilot the tools to make it real, we want to build with you.
